The Hawk Family Foundation was established by Dave and Ann Hawk, who recognize the challenges of the community’s most vulnerable families and residents; those struggling daily and needing a helping hand. They served as a role model, while raising their family, instilling the importance of philanthropy and good stewardship. Both Dave and Ann actively participate in the community, sharing their personal time and talent with non-profit and educational organizations. Over the last 40 years they have served on over 35 non-profit boards.

The Foundation represents four generations of philanthropy and charitable giving. The Hawk family established a legacy of giving through Gertrude Hawk Chocolates and this charitable philosophy continues through the Hawk Family Foundation as well as Gertrude Hawk Chocolates.

The Hawk Family Foundation is dedicated to serving and uplifting families in the Northeast Pennsylvania community to create a place where families can thrive. The Foundation funds regional nonprofit organizations who serve the community, educational institutions, and arts and cultural initiatives that improve the quality of life in the community. The Foundation supports the development of healthy individuals, families, and communities by promoting self-sufficiency, hard work, and generosity with a commitment to caring.
